1. Your relationship with JastMile

These terms apply in addition to the Terms & Conditions. The legal nature of the relationship between JastMile and walkers will be confirmed in a separate agreement following legal review. Nothing on this page states that you are an employee, worker or self-employed contractor.

2. Application and approval

You must give accurate details (name, phone, optional description, right-to-work and ID document references). JastMile reviews applications and may approve, reject or later suspend an account; the reason is recorded. Only approved walkers can go online.

3. Location

Your saved home/base address (set in Account) is used for your account and service-area information. It is never used as your live position.

When you go online, your browser asks for location permission. While you are online, and while you have an active delivery, your device's live location is sent to JastMile so we can offer nearby jobs and monitor active deliveries. When you go offline with no active delivery, live location stops being sent and your last position is cleared. If your location is unavailable or out of date you will not receive new job offers. You can also start from your saved address if the browser blocks location; your real position replaces it as soon as it is available.

Agreeing to these terms does not replace your device's own location permission, which you control.

4. Job offers and acceptance

Job offers show the pickup area, distances, estimated times, package type and your payout. Recipient contact details are only shown after you accept. You are free to decline. The first valid acceptance wins; acceptance is checked by JastMile against your live location.

5. Collection and delivery

At pickup, take a photo of the package and enter the business's collection code. At the door, take a photo and enter the recipient's 4-digit PIN. Codes and PINs are limited to 5 attempts. If the recipient does not have the PIN, you may call the business (sender) to confirm it, or contact JastMile support.

Photos must show the package and handover point only. Avoid photographing people, the inside of homes, documents or other unrelated or sensitive information.

6. Confidentiality and calls

Recipient and business contact details are provided only to complete the delivery. Use the call buttons only for that delivery, do not store or share these details, and do not contact recipients afterwards.

7. Package care, failed delivery and recipient unavailable

Carry packages with reasonable care. If you cannot complete a delivery after collection (for example the recipient is unavailable or the address is wrong), use the app to report it: it becomes a support case and JastMile will tell you what to do. Do not leave packages unattended unless JastMile instructs you to.

8. Safety and conduct

Your safety comes first, never take risks to meet an estimated time. Follow the Safety Policy. Fraud, false completion, code guessing, harassment or carrying prohibited items will lead to suspension.

9. Earnings

Each completed delivery creates one earning record for the payout shown when you accepted. During the pilot, earnings are shown as pending and are paid out manually. Adjustments are only made for a legitimate, recorded reason.

10. Support and complaints

Use the Help page in the walker app. See the Support & Complaints Policy.
