Suitable items
Lightweight items one person can safely carry on foot for up to a mile: food, groceries, retail goods, flowers, documents and small parcels, properly packaged.
Prohibited, never send
• Illegal goods, stolen goods or anything you are not entitled to send
• Weapons, including knives and bladed articles, firearms, ammunition and replicas
• Explosives, fireworks, flammable, toxic, corrosive or other hazardous substances
• Controlled drugs and drug paraphernalia
• Cash, cards, precious metals, jewellery or other high-value items
• Live animals
• Items needing specialist, temperature-controlled or regulated transport
• Items too heavy, bulky or fragile to be carried safely on foot
Restricted, not currently supported
The following are not supported during the pilot, until legal and operational requirements are confirmed: prescription and pharmacy medicines, alcohol, tobacco and nicotine products, and any other age-restricted goods.
What happens if a package is unsuitable
Walkers may refuse a package that appears prohibited, unsafe or unsuitable, and should report it through the app. Sending prohibited items may lead to suspension.
